The weather has been so amazing the last few days. We got back on tuesday afternoon after being out of town for 5 days. I ended up staying in Moses Lake instead of going all the way to Northport for turkey hunting which ended up being a huge blessing. The boys hunted 12 or more hours a day so basically Eli and I would have been in a small cabin all alone! So instead of being alone I got lots of homecooked meals, got to see my brother who was home for the weekend for a friends wedding, got to etch glass with my mama, and had tons of help keeping Eli entertained. Oh and Eli got his own bedroom for night and naps which was easier on everyone!
Now for some pictures. This was the day before Easter we went to the in-laws so Eli could meet Uncle Tony, funny thing I don't have a picture of Eli with Uncle Tony. Eli was a bit tired and clingly because I had been gone at work all day, and boy oh boy does this boy miss his mama when I leave. He wants to nurse the second I get in the door!
Kathy got Eli a little rattle and he loves it, favorite little toy by far. Small enough to hold and rattles just like one of his favorite things on the bouncer.
I redid some artwork in Eli's room. It had a doily and some pink washi on it because I had it in there before we even knew about being pregnant. I had changed the print to this mountain print right before Eli was born but the pink remained until about a week ago.
Eli is protesting all wraps/slings/carriers these days! He will go in them but doesnt like them much and pushes away from me. The outward carry is his favorite if he had to pick tho.
[ I started this post on Thursday and now it's Friday...my first post I couldn't finish within hours of starting because mama duties trumped blogging. And so it begins]
Eli slumped over my shoulder after nursing when I got home from work after being gone 10 hours, poor boy just loves to nurse and hates it when I am gone!
Eli has soooo many facial expressions these days! I love every one of them.
1. Super long hair. 2. tummy time champ. 3. a walk to combat the fussies. 4. sleeping while mommy and Gabe try on gobs of shoes, I did get moccosins and boots though!
1. The boys at 5 something am as they head to turkey hunting and Eli and I head to Moses Lake 2. Eli slept maybe an hour total of that car ride 3. Fuzz head! 4. Eli only wanted to nap if I was at his side one day. I didn't know I was capable of napping while having my finger in his mouth for him to suck on for 2 hours straight...haha mom life is glamorous.
1. Outfit #2 and we were only a few hours into the day. Those poop blow outs are a doozy. 2. Grandpa gives good snuggles 3. Grandma is super fun to hang out with 4. Uncle Daniel is a good babysitter
1. My first mothers day present! (that I got early of course :) ) 2. Car smiles after a 20 minute nap when we were heading home from Moses Lake. This boy LOVES it when I am sitting next to him :) 3. carrying moms purse. Starting him young! 4 .We went out to a cafe in Moses Lake, the coffee was awful but the cupcake was the best I have ever had. The lady used to just have a bakery and then opened up with more desserts and coffee...she has some work to do on the coffee though. I got an iced americano (she didn't even have decaf) and it tasted like watered down lukewarm drip coffee...gross. I am not one to waste but both my mom and I threw our drinks in the trash (outside of the store so she wouldn't know) and then went home and my mom made us amazing lattes! At least Eli loved the kid sized recliner though!
1. Nursing is his favorite. And the blanket grab gets me every time. 2. Eleanor is a peeping tom. 3. On our way to safeway after the dudester slept 10 hours straight 4. Eli was a huge pill at safeway, which teaches me to never disrupt his routine again. We usually wiggle/bathe/wiggle/nurse in the mornings and he let me know that going to safeway first thing should never happen again haha. Thanks buddy.
Since getting home from Moses Lake on Tuesday I have been super productive though, and it feels so good!
Tuesday afternoon: unpack everything, mow the yard, do two loads of laundry, make a quick dinner, then head to bed
Wednesday: Go to Safeway at 6:30am, vacuum the whole house, clean all 3 bathrooms, swiffer mop all hard floors, edge the lawn and weed a little bit
Thursday: Weed, spray weeds, and cut down blackberries for 2.5 hours while Eli is napping! One load of laundry and prep fruits and veggies for the fridge.
Friday: One load of laundry, pick up craft room, and blog! I am meeting a friend at 11 to have a picnic lunch and go on a walk.
Saturday: hanging out with family in Seattle and getting my third bountiful basket!
Such fun busy things! I can't wait to see you again and meet Eli! It's so great that Eli gets to spend so much time with family. He is very blessed!
