Today.

Today I...
-washed the dishes from yesterday...hooray clean kitchen!
-put away bags off stuff from when we went to the beach
-folded up laundry and put that away
-figured out our menu for camping next week
-took the dog for a walk
-have dinner figured out that will use up the lemons in my fridge http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/baked-lemon-pasta/

now I am laying on my couch listening to classical music, playing spider solitaire, and trying to ignore the fact that I have to start cooking dinner in a few minutes!

Ugh

Candice, I hope you're feeling better. You sound so busy - kind of like how I feel today, lol...

I just got back from a big shopping trip and I am so exhausted now. Haven't made much headway on my classes or on cleaning the house yet. And do I know what dinner will be tonight? I do not. I know Joe will be back at the house at 8. Hm. No leftovers...I don't know.

Complaining ON!

Having a technical difficulty with one of my classes so I haven't been able to listen to this audio file I have to, so I am stuck in the work for that class and I've already spent hours trying to fix it and now I need to call IT, but I'm on Joe's desktop computer upstairs and our corded phone is downstairs and my laptop broke so Joe bought me a new one and it came today but I have to set it up before I can call IT.

I'm in physical therapy for my wrist stuff and it's helping some but my hands hurt a lot right now.

I didn't eat a good breakfast or a good lunch because I was so busy getting things done.

The house is a MESS. A mess, I tell you! All I've done on the house is tidy the kitchen slightly and run the dishwasher. I haven't even unloaded the dishes, I just opened the dishwasher and let them air dry.

I am so tired right now. And it's only 1:21. Joe has the next two days off. I have assignments due tomorrow and I was hoping to get them done today so I could spend the day with Joe but the technical issues are being hell for me.

Sigh......I wish you were here, dear cousin.

Complaining OFF.

Last night I drove Tyler to the airport: 3 hour drive, left at midnight

After dropping him off slept at my in laws for 6 hours and drove 3.5 hours back to Kingston, arrived at 3:00 PM

3:05-pick up dog food at grocery because we are out

3:15-rush home to pee

3:30-pick up Justin at work

4:05-current time, must do a quick sweep/clean up because my in-laws are spending the night

5:30-go to Justin's grandparents for their 50th anniversary dinner

Friday:  go to Montreal (3 hour drive)

Saturday:  run 5k (I think I'm going to be walking for most of it...)

Sunday: back to Kingston.

am I surprised that I have a sore throat and I'm losing my voice?  Not one bit.
Help me Amber! How did I get in to all this?

I need a vacation from my vacation...

So its 12:36 AM and I just finished writing up the parent letter for VBS tomorrow.
Really did not feel like doing it, but glad its done so I don't have to do it in the morning.  Now
I get to clean up my house instead for company!  I'm having fun, really.  But looking forward to my
schedule clearing up....will it ever?  Can't wait to get to go camping for a week starting August 30.

Dear Parents,

We would like to say thank you for allowing us the privilege of working with your children this year.  The kids have been enjoying a great time of playing games, making crafts, singing songs and learning Bible stories.

SATURDAY:  Movie Night- Disney’s “UP”

We encourage you to come to our Movie Night on Saturday, August 14 at 8 PM, we will be showing Disney’s “UP.”  If weather is good please bring your own lawn chair and a food donation for Partners in Mission Food Bank.  FREE popcorn and drinks will be served.

SUNDAY: VBS Closing Program- 9:30 AM

You are invited to our Closing Program on SUNDAY where we will sing and talk about what we have learned this week.  Everyone is welcome.  Whether you’re completely new to church, or just new to First CRC, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to you.  We’d love to meet you in person and get to know you. Coffee will be served at 9:30 AM and the program will start at 10:00 AM.  Afterwards we will be having a FREE hotdog BBQ.  There will be popcorn, face painting and side walk chalk drawing.

I'm a Survivor!

I just made it through a family wedding weekend!  I'm so glad that I am done being MC.  Not that I hated it, it was actually fun, but its nice to not have to think about it anymore!

I made last minute pew bows the morning of.

At the same time decorated the prayer bench with more tool.

Sewed up the bride's bustle when the actual bustle broke.

and I feel that I did a good job of being MC!

Now I have to make it through a week of VBS...

Candice! Remember how upstairs there's an area outside the bedrooms, one area outside the first two and one outside the master, connected by a hallway. Well today I took out everything in that area that doesn't belong (I put it in the room we're putting all of our storage stuff in, so I'll have to deal with it later, but at least it's where it belongs for now) and VACUUMED it! That's right! I lugged that heavy thing up the stairs and vacuumed the whole hall area!

I'm so proud of myself and surprised!

Plus, I've been keeping the upstairs bathroom clean all week!

YAY!

Shopping

I bought a pair of jeans!
Returned stuff at Bed Bath and Beyond!
Picked up contacts and a few groceries at Costco!
Got a few groceries at Safeway!
Picked up stamps at the post office!
I'm beat!

August 3

Today so far:

I straightened things out with the school, got a game plan for this year to graduate by June, and filled out and submitted all necessary petitions!

I organized my sock drawer!

I cleaned the upstairs bathroom!

And it's only 2:30!

August 2

I went through my emails today and brought the count down from 200 to 22!

I returned some stuff at Target!

I tried on jeans at three places with no success but at least I went out and did it!

I did approximately half the laundry!

I made salmon, rice, and veggies for dinner!

I addressed the thank you cards we wrote last night!

I made the bed!

I bought Joe the new pillow he wanted, cased it and put it on the bed!
