I feel good.

Na na na na na na na, like I knew that I would, nanananananana.

Here are the things I feel good about today:

  • I helped in child care for church! Fun!
  • I didn't sleep in.
  • I am all caught up on the dishes.
  • I did laundry and am in a "not caught up, not behind" stage. You know, I have about 1/4 load of darks, 1/4 load of whites, a couple delicates - so not really a full load.
  • I finished my schoolwork for the week! Back in the swing tomorrow...
  • Joe and I got to watch Seinfeld together.
  • I relaxed a lot today.
So. Not a whole lot accomplished, but I still feel good! Angela, can't wait to see you tomorrow! Angela and becca, post on this blog!

Oh yes, I'm amazing

Yesterday:

  • I walked for half an hour on the treadmill
  • I went shopping at Costco and Fred Meyer
  • I made Cook's Illustrated "Best Beef Stew"
  • I made biscuits to go with the stew!
  • I read "Hamlet" in Spark Notes (shhh) for school
Today:

  • I packed Joe a lunch and dinner since he works all day today
  • I cleaned up the cat area
  • I walked for half an hour on the treadmill
  • I took a long shower and shaved!
Right now I'm working on laundry and cleaning out the fridge. I'm trying not to get sidetracked.

I also have to write one discussion post due tonight for school, and before that I have some reading to do. Shouldn't take more than an hour total, but I have to do it before 9 PM!

I'm planning on making bread in the breadmaker (my third time using it!) tonight. Joe gets home around 10, so I'll start making it at 7 or so. That way it'll be almost done by the time he comes home!

Knock your Socks Off

You should see our apartment.  It smells clean from where I'm sitting.  EVERY room is SPOTLESS...except for our room.  We're hosting two exchange students from Sweden for a few days, and our place was getting pretty gross and messy (partly because we just got back from camping).  It was a lot of work, but I don't mind because it all had to be cleaned anyways.

so what did I clean?
-bathroom
-office
-kitchen (did at least three loads of dishes and scrubbed out stove coils)
-fixed couch cushions that had been sagging terribly
-plus I did a bunch of other random cleaning.

I just have to mention that I feel GREAT for getting all this done!  But I feel kinda tired right now...

Justin just peeked over my shoulder and was aghast that I wasn't going to mention what he did to clean.  So here's his contribution:
-swept and mopped floors
-office
-living room (dusted, put stuff away, fixed entertainment unit)
-dining room
-put his fire truck away (from his childhood, it took a bit of convincing on my part to get it out of sight)

Hope you had a good weekend Amber!
