Life these days

The other day the neighbors lawn guy mowed our side yard on accident I believe. Well it was a nice morning and I decided I needed to mow the other side of the yard as well as edge and weed eat. Our lawn looked awesome and I can't wait to make more improvements! There are still weeds to the left side of the walkway where our bushes used to be. We are going to borrow Steve's rotitiller and clean up all the beds. I can't wait!
I had last Saturday off and I declared it an Angela day . I got my hair cut, got my eyebrows done, and went to the Banana Republic Outlet store and got a dress, new pants, and two new shirts. I came home and watched an episode of Private Practice and then cooked up a storm. I made mushroom stroganoff, chicken enchilidas, more baguettes, english toasting bread, chinese chicken salad minus the chicken, and homemade Thousand Island dressing.
My little pretty lady Eleanor was quite the cuddler the other day. She make me smile.
Steve came over on Sunday evening and put in our new dishwasher. Oh man how I love it. So nice not to be able to hear the dishwasher when it is running, and to be able to watch tv. Our last dishwasher was so so so awful!
We didn't have any power from 11-2 on Monday due to a windstorm. I laid in bed with the fireplace on and watched netflix on my phone. Eric was in heaven and so will I.
Tuesday there was snow all over the ground, these crazy kitties thought it was so cool.

Today was my cleaning day. I vacuumed the whole house, cleaned all three bathrooms, and vacuumed the bathroom cupboard. Then I got this awesome idea to make the cupboard pretty, and oh how I love the outcome!
While I was cleaning the guest bathroom I decided to make the guest bath cupboard pretty too, and add a few items to make people feel at home when they come visit. Now I just need buy a small bottle of contact solution and it will be complete!

Paul had Tuesday and Wednesday off, which was good cause his knee was hurting so he needed to rest . He went to Safeway to pick up some milk for us and brought me home some awesome presents. Look at my daffodils and orchid! Oh man I love them and I love my man, he knows how to make me happy after a long day at work. :)
Oh and my kitties are happy I am home today and are following me everywhere, well Eric is following me but Eleanor just keeps sleeping everywhere. Haha. Love my babies.
Now I must go swimming and figure out what to make for dinner. Then I am going to craft it up till Paul gets home!

  1. I want an Angela day! I'm glad you were able to take a day for yourself, you more than make up for it on the other days! You get so much done, its very inspirational. I love how you decorated your medicine cabinet and guest cupboard! I also like how you used a china tea cup to hold cotton balls-that's a great idea!

  2. How fun, Angela! I love days off like that. You're house looks so good in every picture you post - I love the little crafty things you do and share too! I'm curious to know what you "crafted up" after you posted! :) I like your new clothes - seeing you makes me want to be skinny again haha. No, I'm enjoying being pregnant but its weird to even think about ever having a flat belly right now for some reason - you look great though! ;D

  3. Becca, you have the most adorable pregnant belly ever. I hope I look as cute as you when I am pregnant! You want to know something pathetic? I didn't get to craft last night. I went swimming, came home and Paul got home, we went to dinner at Applebees (cause we have no food and I didn't want to do more cleaning after all the cleaning I had done) and when we got home we watched a show together, Paul went to bed, then I went to bed after a few more episodes. I have some great crafting to do today that I am going to start right after I finish the episode of Private Practice I am watching! :) I will post about it for sure!
