My crafty and errand running day!

I woke up this morning and all my daffodils had bloomed, which was an amazing start to my morning! Then I made a coffee and had some cereal while watching an episode of Private Practice, then it was crafting time! Eric was my cuddle boy while I caught up one some pinterest and blogging. :)

We did a five dollar gift exchange with my dad's side of the family for Christmas and my aunt and uncle gave us the A and the P. AP and PA don't look good next to each other because of anatomy and physiology and physicians assistant, so I knew I needed and ampersand. Thing is I couldn't find one anywhere, anywhere meaning JoAnnes and Michaels. So I decided to make my own. Took me probably 45 minutes to cut the ampersand from cardboard and wrap it in twine, and it was all worth it. I love my A&P!
I finally finished Kathy's mothers day present and I want to keep it for myself! I think next time I got to Ikea I will buy a tray for myself. :)

After crafting for a few hours I went swimming and started my errands. I went to home depot to buy some moss out and spray adhesive (to finish Kathy's present). Then to Safeway for some killer deals (I saved as much as I spent), the ads were great this week! Then onto Fred Meyer to get Paul a lock for the gym and some color catchers so I could wash the quilt from my Aunt and Uncle. Then onto Costco for a mocha freeze and some pears. And then I got some gas. Lot's of errands, but it is so nice they are all super close together in Covington.
When I got home I put everything away and then went upstairs to craft some more. After I had been upstairs for 5 minutes my little helpers showed up. :) I was making those twine balls seen above. I had made the pear earlier in the day from a lightbulb. :)
And that my friends was my craft day. I needed it. It was awesome. Now two more days of work till I get to go to Salem with my love to see my grandparents! I am so stinking excited!

  2. I made the twine balls from styrofoam balls and then just wrapped twine around them with hot glue. Thing sucky thing is those styrofoam balls are kind of expensive. I had been telling my mom how I wanted them but didn't want to spend almost a dollar a ball and she said she had some from some old school project. So I finally got to do my project and didn't have to spend a bunch of money!

  3. 'ampersand' is one of my favorite words! I don't know why it is, but I love it when I get to use it. I love your ampersand, it looks so cool! I like how you did that with your and Paul's initials...I'm going to have to keep it in mind. You scared me at first with your mother's day gift! You made me look it up because I was afraid it was just around the corner. Angela, you never cease to amaze me how on top of things you are!
