40 weeks...maybe

These will be my 40 week pictures if I am still pregnant on Thursday, if not they will be my last pictures before baby.  It would be cheating to call them 40 week pics if I didn't actually make it to my due date!  This whole pregnancy though I have been telling Paul we need one picture together at the end. We have to remember our last moments of being a family of two.  Well he worked at 10am today and we had a midwife appt at 9am, so today the picture happened. We are officially ready for baby now, I have my picture. :)

I feel my belly has expanded quite a lot in the last two weeks from when I thought I was done then. Oh man, I was wrong!  I just finished my last 4 day work stretch before baby.  I was going to work till the day this munckin entered the world but now my last day is January 3rd and I am just going to take it easy after that. My body is telling me that 4 days of work and being on my feet in a row is a bit too much, I have just a few things to do around the house today but otherwise I am just relaxing.

Today as follows:
Make chex mix
Do two loads of laundry (second is in the dryer as I type this)
Make the bed (done)
Cut up fruits and veggies to have prepped in fridge
And have a baby ;)

I love this man with all my heart, and having a baby with him has made me see a whole new side of him I love even more! Can't wait to start our next adventure together. :)

Happy almost New Years ladies!

  1. How nice to be done with work and rest up (as much as you can) It was the BEST decision to give myself a break before Hailey came (I guess God knew that since he gave Jeremy a job and I could actually stop working), but I was just serving ice cream, I can't imagine doing your job normally, but even more so while 9 months pregnant! It seems like I've been saying this for weeks, but now you really are so close - no more than two more weeks, max! :) Will your midwife deliver at home up to 42 weeks like mine? You still look great, even if you feel like your body is maxed out. What a great picture of you two! (and, I totally agree - watching your husband become a father is such an amazing thing!) Loved the little update. Take it easy while you wait! Do you have any random plans for anything you are going to do during early labor? I remember one girl from my birth class went to get her hair cut, I think mainly to freak out the stylist...AAAH I love people having babies I can't wait to hear how it goes!!

  2. Yes my midwife can deliver at home till 42 weeks and you better believe a few days before I hit 42 (she doesn't think I will go that long be we shall see) I will be trying every trick in the book to get baby out! Honestly I hope I sleep through some of the really early labor, I am assuming starting at 3cm dilated should help a little, we shall see :). But if not I want to take a walk and try and distract myself. I am not good at just sitting with pain, I will probably be all over the place in the house! :)

  3. And I love that someone was going to get a haircut! That would make for a good story to tell!

  4. Yay for 40 weeks pics!! Your pictures of you and Paul is so touching. I love how you are taking in every moment before the baby comes. I hope that next time you post, you will have your baby in your arms! You are going to be such a great mom. :)
