Here is the beach we camped at, the first day was really windy so there were a ton of waves. We had so much fun jumping in them. This is lake Erie, and I still can't get over that it's a lake. I loved it so much because I felt like I was at the ocean, but without getting that salty feeling from the water or having to worry about getting stung by jellyfish.
Here I am hanging out with my sisters-in-law. The one in the middle is Chara, Justin's younger sister and the one on the end is Emily, Justin's brother's wife. She is due at the end of August, I can't wait to have a baby around!
The last thing we did before we left was to go on a hike through a wetlands area. It was beautiful but extremely buggy!
I didn't realize till after, but there is a bug in my hair in this picture! Thankfully they just buzzed around and didn't bite me. My mother-in-law ended up with over 30 bites from this walk though.
As soon as we got everything unpacked, Justin decided to set up our hammock in the backyard since we enjoyed it so much while we were camping. I think it's going to be great to have it out this summer. It's right under the tree, so it should get quite a bit of shade in the afternoon.
and Happy Fourth to all of you girls! We had a great Canada Day here (July 1st). I think it's funny how close our Independence/Confederation days are. With different histories and all the days of the year, they ended up being just 3 days apart?
I'm loving summer, I just wish I didn't have to go to school through it!
I can't believe that is just a lake! How awesome! It looks like you had a wonderful time and nice weather, too! That bug in your hair picture is funny - it looks like you just have a clip in your hair! You look so pretty and happy in all of your pictures! And that hammock looks awesome - I want one! :) Hope your first week back at school goes well!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures and sounds like a super fun mini vacation! I agree with becca, the bug looks like a clip, love it. Don't love bug and mosquito bites so much. I have only gotten two this summer and that is two too many for me! And I love your hammock, I really want one too, maybe I can talk Paul into one someday. :)
