Today is a good day.

As I was reading my blogs this morning I read something that I realized really suited me, and how I take pictures. The lady said "years ago I decided to start [taking pictures of and blogging] moments instead of events" . I love that. It is not the events that are special for Paul and me, it is the moments. The nights where we cuddle on the couch, watch Psych, he drinks coke while I eat strawberries with sugar on them. The blanket we share, the calm moments that happen before the years of children. I love the moments.

This was either tuesday or wednesday, days I was sick, and felt gross and the weather wasn't helping. Luckily it melted within the same day! :)

Yesterday Paul and I went to test drive a Toyota Camry, we are also going to look at Honda Accords. The Toyota dealership we went to was just minutes away from Ikea, I couldn't resist asking Paul to take me there, and he oh so lovingly took me and I got the picture frames for the living room and didn't even have to waste money on the freaking expensive gas it would have taken to get there!

And here is the project process. First I hung the picture frames starting with the middle one. I measured the wall and hung the middle one directly in the middle, then hung the others equal inches from the middle one. Then one by one I began drawing my pictures, and that took me to the bottom picture. I am so happy with how it turned out.

A little closer look. It is a different saying than I was originally going to put up, but the other one was a little too girly and I didn't want Paul to hate decorations even more than he already does, so this one is what ended up happening. :)

I finally filled my extra glass container with Jasmine rice and moved our 15 pound bag of rice into the big rice container. The only thing was there was no room on the counter for the fifth jar, so I moved the ihome to a new home and I am loving how my jars look now!

And this is just random. My aunt just posted all the christmas pictures on flickr and she had taken this picture that I didn't even know about. It just makes me smile. It's an outside view of all the pictures I try and take of Paul and me together...and why they never turn out. Me smiling, laughing, him making crazy looks at me. Haha. So us.

All the love in the universe.

  4. I like what you said about capturing moments on camera, I think we often forget how important little moments in life are. You are so creative with your wall hangings, I love everything you've done in your house, and the jars look great!
