I love lazy Saturday mornings. Its 11:06 AM and I'm still in my PJs. I should get going soon though, I have laundry waiting. Oh well, it'll still be there in a couple of hours, no rush. :)
Yesterday I was my first day at the Bibles for Missions Thrift store. I volunteered there last summer, and I just love it. First off, I love thrift stores anyways, and most of the people that volunteer there are retired. I love old people! I'll be working there twice a week, two four hour shifts. Its also a chance for me to look through the store for deals.
I've also been keeping busy by working on some sewing projects. Here's Summer Project #1, a sleeping bag case. My sleeping bag hasn't had a case and its always annoying to store because its all over the place. Now its nicely tucked away. I measured Justin's sleeping bag case, and used it as a pattern to make this one.
Beatrix always has to check out anything that is new in our house.
This is my next project: a dress! I've never made a dress for myself before, hopefully it turns out. I have most of the pieces cut out, I'll post pictures when I'm done.
Hope you ladies all have a lovely weekend!
Love your sleeping bag...bag! And I can't wait to see your dress - so glad you're sharing your projects with us! And that you go to enjoy a lazy Saturday morning resting!

ReplyDeleteWow, I'm so proud of you, being all crafty! I was at Janae's birthday party yesterday and she got a dress-making book. Seems like I'm going to have to jump on the craft bandwagon!
