We have no idea.

Thanks for sharing Becca.  Yesterday was one of those times when God shakes me awake.  I got an email
from Amber about my brother.  Right now he is at a rest stop sleeping in his car, he has no money.  The story is much bigger and complicated, but God is taking care of him through family, who will help him get back home to Seattle.  My family needs earnest prayer.

Yesterday I went to a theme park with my church.  I was in line at the Water Park waiting to go down a water slide.  Everyone in line was in their swimsuits and the girl in front of me had razor blade marks on her hips.  She was trying to cover them up with her hand.  I just hurt for her.  She also needs earnest prayer.

I have been struck before, (and yesterday was a big reminder) about how we have no idea who out there is hurting.  On the outside we look fine, but underneath, on our skin and in our hearts are signs of pain and suffering.  How the Lord much ache for us!

I am so grateful for the grace and the love God has shown me.  When I sit at home cuddling up with my dog and husband on the couch watching a movie, sometimes I am amazed at how I have it so good.  Then I start to worry that if I have it so good, something is going to happen that will take it away.  Then I realize I need to stop worrying and rest in God.  I don't know how people survive this world on their own...I couldn't.

  2. Oh Candice! How I feel for you and your family, and echo the same feelings for those around us who are hurting so! We do have it SO good, but God is also SO in control. Today I shared the David Crowder song, "Remedy" with our small church (it was our last day, too), and I was just struck anew by the raw reality of the people around us who are fighting and crying out against the world and just looking for the love that only Christ can give.

Praying for you and your family! Don't forget how amazingly faithful our God is!

  3. I will be praying for you and everything going on Candice. We do have us so good right now and I think about it often. I often wonder what I did to earn this and the truth is nothing. God has our lives in his hands.
