making all things new

I just finished reading these blog posts (starting three posts down).  When I started reading it I had no idea I wouldn't be able to stop crying.  The things in my life seem so insignificant and easy compared to this.  Warning:  Only read if you have tissues near by.  It has a happy ending - although their situation isn't over - but I cannot even imagine what this mom is going/has gone through.  Its just a very blunt reminder that life is too precious and short to not live it fully and completely authentically and the way God has called us to, with the people He has placed around us.  I mean, in one instance these people's lives could have been changed forever.  It inspires me to do the things I know are hard or I don't feel like doing, to redeem moments and conversations and relationships and all things God has given me a choice in.    I really love it when God takes be my the shoulders and shakes me around enough to get my attention.  It always catches me off guard.

Love you girls - thanks for listening, I hope you are able to take this day and allow Jesus to MAKE ALL THINGS NEW!  I'm going to try, anyway.
