Lots to do!

My poor husband is working another 12 hour shift today. From 6:30 to 8:30, I was awake helping him get ready for the day and trying to caffeinate myself enough not to go back to bed. Two cups of tea didn't cut it though, and I went back to bed for another hour and a half! Shameful!

I feel better knowing that my normal sleep-in time today would have been 8:00 if it weren't for the "interruption", which was totally worth it.

So here I am, with cuppa tea #3 and my delicious oatmeal, faced with a large stack of to-dos.

  • Big Goal #1: Do all my daily chores. I expect this to take about 1.5 hours, especially since I neglected some of them yesterday.
  • Big Goal #2: Finish Persuasion and write response posts for all classes. I expect this to take 3-4 hours.
  • Big Goal #3: Clean upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. I expect this to take 1.5 hours especially since we still have a sick kitty living in our upstairs bathroom who, because she couldn't see, tracked wet food and poo all over the floor and the shower.
  • Big Goal #4: Vacuum entire house. I expect this to take 1 hour.
I had more to add, but after seeing how much I have to do today, I am moving my other items to another day.

Angela just called and she's coming over later! We agreed that the sole purpose of her coming over is to have another body in the house, NOT to chat!!!!! Because I have lots to do! And she's bringing her book and laptop and she's going to make us cookies!!!!! I love her!

By the way Angela, I probably have most ingredients you need.

Update: Done with Big Goal #1!

Update: Still working on Persuasion. Picture time!!!

The tree has lights which are on, but you can't tell from the picture. Also we have to get a star or an angel. We decorated completely with a $25 set of 94 cheapo decorations, but they look great from a distance and they're a great starter set for us.

I love having a tree! becca I hope you can have one! A small one would be nice!!!

My darling sister in law with the cookies she made. Oatmeal chocolate chip, the best I've ever tasted! She even cleaned up my kitchen afterward! I had such a great afternoon and I'm glad she gets to have a quiet evening with her husband.

  1. Amber I am having so much fun over at your house! We have done way more chatting than we should have but it has been a blast. Now I will stay quiet and go on my comp and read my book. Love you! Btw, Ambers house looks amazing, so clean and their christmas tree is gorgeous!

How is all your girls christmas decorating going?!

  2. OH Amber - post a picture of your Christmas tree! We haven't gotten one (yet, I hope?)...I'm not sure if we can fit one or if its worth the trouble but I want one because I do!!

What kind of cookies did you girls make? It is so much nicer to do things with someone else around, isn't it?
