Sad news: We got one hour into our drive to Leavenworth (over the snowy pass) and found out there were going to be three extra guys at the cabin, one of which I am really not thrilled to be around, so we decided to turn around. I was sad, crying actually because I am an emotional girl, but it all turned out ok in the end. I was the most sad because I wanted to eat at the restaurant our friend works at and take pictures of Leavenworth! We thought about going and renting a hotel...but we didn't want to spend that much money, so next year we shall plan another trip I suppose. Paul and I both have today off though, so last night we got sushi and watched half of Memoirs of a Geisha (we shall finish today), go out to breakfast at our local greasy spoon, Daves of Milton, and soon we will go to the grocery store in a few to get supplies for a gingerbread house (and maybe some food to fill our fridge). Both Paul and I Have saturday off and he promised to take me to Krispy Kreme. He is spoiling me and I love it!
So that's the sad news and the happy news. Though I didn't get to go to Leavenworth, and I get a day full of fun and activities with my husband, something we have definitely been lacking lately. We are still in our pajamas, and I plan on going to safeway in mine! :)
Hope you girls are all having a fabulous day!
Angela, I almost cried for you when reading your news! I would have cried if it had happened to me. But I'm really impressed with your great positive turnaround attitude! I'm excited to celebrate Christmas on Sunday. Love,

I would have cried too, because I'm also an emotional girl. yes, way to be positive! and there's nothing like going out for breakfast and watching a movie to make your day better. Eating breakfast out is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAngela - I think every single one your posts lately have made me tear up! Your attitude about it inspires me though and I'm glad your husband is spoiling you :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know how people go through life without God or a supportive husband, they make everything better even in the worst of circumstances!
