a happy saturday

So first, I need to post the pictures we took at Amber's last night specifically for the blog:

When was the last time we took a picture of us together??

Shea was not very happy with us:

I had a good Saturday so far!  We got home from Amber's house around 9:30 last night, and decided to rent a movie.  So we went to bed at about 11PM which is pretty late for us.  Anyway, Shea actually slept in until 9 AM!  This was amazing.  We rolled out of bed and I made crepes and espressos for breakfast.  The rest of the day went as follows:

  • At 11, Shea went down for a nap and we took showers and got ready for the day
  • I cut Jeremy's hair (Finally, after about 4 years of cutting his hair, I'm starting to get the hang of it - I really like the way it turned out this time)
  • We decided to head out to Silverdale for a little bit, because we try to get out of Port Orchard on our days off.
  • We went to the new goodwill and found a music stand for $4, and I got a really cute new dress (still had the target pricetag on it) for only $2!
  • We went to Costco for lunch and walked around the mall
  • I got the holiday fever and picked up a couple small presents for my sister.
  • Came home and put Shea down for another nap, and I spent some time organizing some sewing projects and working on a few of them.
  • Fed Shea dinner.
What's left?  I still need to do the Power point for church tomorrow, send the Pastor's wife the order of service, practice some music, and tidy the house for Youth group.

Oh, and I thought I would post some pics from my bedroom, because on Thursday I got some cleaning done:

Let me first remind you of the before:

And after:

Before (the corner on the right is still messy):

And sewing table after:

Oh, and since I had no motivation to look nice today (I was going to just throw my hair back and put on a sweatshirt and jeans), I decided I would make myself post a pic of what I was wearing.  I want to try and look nicer every day, so I don't turn into a mom running around in sweats and slippers (at least, not all the time).  So, I actually wore a skirt and a nice sweater, and did my hair.

yes, the mirror has handprints on it and some remnants of a label the store had to stick right on the mirror - WHY???

And I'll leave you with one more picture of my little boy.  I can't believe how old he looks here!  I got him this little giraffe chair at the Goodwill today, and he loves it.  He's sitting in it right now watching his Baby Einstein video.  Which is a very serious matter, apparently.

Happy Weekend!
