Paul and I got home around 10:15 last night from Moses Lake. We would have gotten home sooner but we had to stop by Paul's parents, where we had left our car for the weekend, and we drove by a house in Auburn we are going to be looking at this next week. It is in a sweet little culdesac near a lot of dead ends, perfect for children, but a little close to Pac Highway, we will see how we like it. :)
When we got home I put the dishes away, washed a few more, unpacked (which seemed to take forever), and then at about 11:15 crawled into the bed with the hubby where we both read our magazines that came in the mail while we were gone!
I decided since I never got ready yesterday I was going to get ready for church this morning. I usually go to church looking presentable...with hair that hasn't been washed for a day, but this morning I made time for a shower. :) Good ol daylight savings helped me out. So this is what I wore. This "dress" is awesome. Yes, it was marketed as a dress, but it definitely needs leggings or pants underneath to be called appropriate, but I LOVE it!
Today after church I came home, started baking a cake for my friend Gabe who is coming over. (She just got a job so we are celebrating that she will finally have a paycheck coming in and will be able to get her own apartment rather than living with a friends mom!). While the cake was cooking I made Paul and my Christmas card for this year! At Costco you get 50 of them for $15 and they have a $5 off coupon...so that makes these cards, complete with envelopes only 20 cents...which is less than half the cost to even mail a letter. I call that a deal. :)
I have been getting in the Christmas mood (since I don't think I get much of a Thanksgiving this year with me maybe getting a job and Paul having to work all day). While in Moses Lake I snagged some boxes from my Momma so I could wrap a few more presents. I also took my parents old fake christmas tree (don't judge...I know we should get a real one but this one was free!), and Paul said I could set it up after thanksgiving. So today will be full of cake and christmasy things. I am so looking forward to it!
Have a happy Sunday girls!
so glad you posted! I had to come home from church because Shea has a bit of a fever and wouldn't calm down, so now I had something to read! Love your 'dress' and that I'm not the only one taking pictures of myself dressed, haha. I modified an 18 wide mu-mu into a dress last night and wore it today (for the time I was at church), and love it, but one of the seams ripped so I need to fix it.
ReplyDeleteThats a super deal for christmas cards! And they're cute, too! We need to get a family pic taken, but I'm totally going to look into getting our cards at Costco now.
And, even though I'm still kind of anti-fake christmas trees, I really hate cleaning up pine needles so way to go making christmas cheer inexpensive and less clean up work!
I love that you posted pictures of your clothes, you inspired me!
ReplyDeleteYou also inspire me to learn how to sew, you always make the cutest stuff!
I love your outfit, it is so cute! I've been getting into the Christmas mood too...I listened to my first Christmas carol yesterday, it was heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI love the Christmas cards! What a neat idea!
