Hi ladies... yes I'm still here. These past two weeks have been INSANE. I've lost count of the times that I've felt like a chicken running around with my head cut off. My life has been full of schoolwork and being a wife. Sorry I've been MIA, but I'm hoping to have more time now to write about what I've been able to accomplish.
One of my great accomplishments over these past two weeks is that I've become an expert on agreement morphology in Kinyarwanda. This is no easy task, I've learned how subjects and objects are expressed in a language they speak in Rwanda..yay me. I wish I felt more triumphant. Maybe I will once this class is over...I still have negation to tackle.
Moving on to happier things, this is what I accomplished today:
-went to church (haven't gone in two weeks)
-bought a gift for a baby shower
-cooked lunch for us and for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who were visiting us this weekend
-had a three hour group meeting for our linguistics project
-wrote on this blog
wow it feels really good to see my accomplishments in writing. I wish you all well and hope that things have been less hectic for you than me!

ReplyDeleteI'll have to admit I have never heard of Kinyarwanda, but it sounds like hard stuff to learn, I am impressed.
I hope your weeks slow down and you get a chance to relax soon. :)
