must share with someone!

Just a quick post, because I am way too giddy about finishing Shea's pajamas.  Jeremy leads a men's group at the church on Thursday nights, so it has now been deemed my sewing night.  I didn't think I was going to be able to pull off this top, because our printer hasn't been working (still isn't...) and the pattern that was available for free online was for a much bigger size anyway.  I was able to take one of Shea's regular t-shirts and make a pattern, and then just look at the pictures of the pattern online and try to copy them in his size by hand.  SO I'm just a little excited this turned out.  It took me like 3 hours just to make the top, because of the pattern making and a trial run with some scrap fabric.

I don't think it will fit him for very long, but as long as he doesn't grow before Christmas morning, we'll be good for cute cuddly pictures. :)

I was so tired this morning when Shea got up, that I just rolled out of bed and turned on a show on netflix.  Him and I cuddled on the couch and I tried to sleep more.  I feel so bad for him right now though - he has this awful yeast infection  in his diaper area, and it almost was gone, but its come back.  The doctor told us the other day to just keep putting the medicine on until it goes away again - but its gotten a lot worse since we started doing that!  Its very raw and the top layer of skin looks chaffed away. Poor guy - it hurts so much when I change his diaper and he walks around holding it and going "ouchiiee".  I don't really know what to do about it at this point but try and let him "air-out" as much as possible.

Happy Friday :-)

Somehow I managed to do a 20 minute ab work out (haven't done that in about a week now, but I worked out every day for a week and a half straight before I got a cold), cleaned the kitchen, put a load of laundry in, and straightened/vacuumed the main living area.  Now I'm boiling some eggs for egg salad sandwiches for lunch, and I need to go pay attention to my child because he's getting into EVERYTHING right now.

  1. Nice job with the ab workout! I've been doing this eight minute one daily - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWjTnBmCHTY. My abs already look better and it's been less than a week, haha!

  3. LOVE the pj's!! Wow I'm so impressed at how you improvised to make the pattern. Ok, if all three of you are doing ab workouts that means I have to also. Haha I had to laugh at your video Amber! It looks like a good workout, but the 80's workout and quality makes me giggle a bit. :)

  5. haha that video is great. Maybe I'll have to try it to switch things up a bit since the reps are longer in it.
