Spare room

Angela told me the other day that we braggers have a trend:  For several months, only Angela and becca will post.  Then suddenly everyone will start posting!  And she's right - suddenly, I've posted twice in the last two days, plus we heard from CANDICE  (!!!) and the posts are on again!

This will be short but I have to share something with you.  I give you - SPARE ROOM (the one we used for storing all those books, aka the cat room because that's where we keep their litter boxes)

Before:

 After:

Oh my goodness, I felt like I was working at the bookstore again.  I went through hundreds of books, typed their ISBNs into Amazon to see if they were worth selling, and sorted them into "Keep" (3 boxes), "Sell" (3 boxes), and "Give away" (4 boxes).  Of course Joe has to look through the latter two before final decision is made.  The only boxes left in the room are some of Joe's stuff for him to go through.  And I moved the cat litter stuff - just temporarily, really, to get all the cat litter out of the carpet.  Maybe I should move those back to the guest bathroom...ugh, I don't know. I wish I had a little linoleum closet or something for the cats.

I am so hungry, it's 5:41 and I'm eating cereal because I can't wait till Joe gets home.  I don't even know what we're having for dinner.  I need to shower because I'm still in the clothes I slept in - which are also the clothes I was cleaning in yesterday.

The room is clean but there are a few other areas to take care of.  I have a large pile of stuff to find places for - stuff to keep but I don't know where to put it.  I may just put it in boxes for today.  The books are quite a responsibility enough.

As for the books to sell, I'm going to try to get Joe to make it his project.  He has an ebay account and has sold lots of stuff from before we were married.  He has a good seller rating, and he likes that kind of thing - at least, I think he used to.  If he doesn't, I don't know, I might just take them down to half price books so we'll at least get something from them and I won't have to spend hours listing them online and making trips to the post office every day.

Phew.  I'm going to call Joe and warn him that though the spare room will be clean when he comes home, there will be some misplaced things, and he'll need to help me go through some boxes.  =)

  1. Your spare room looks great! I love handing off jobs to husbands, hopefully the books all get sold!
