Boring Post Again

Okay, I have a lot to do today, and Joe's at work, and I don't feel like doing anything. So you, lucky girls, will get an update every time I do something I'm supposed to do. Maybe not every time. But maybe.

8:20 AM
  • Took medicine
  • Drank tea
  • Made Joe's lunch
(By the way, I am so happy that it's not icy this morning and the snow is already starting to melt! I was worried about Joe's commute last night.)

9:55 AM
  • Played a game
  • Drank tea
  • Ate breakfast
  • Put away clean dishes
11:23 AM
  • Loaded and started dishwasher
  • Did biology lab
12:49
  • Watched an episode of Supernanny on Hulu
  • Unloaded dishwasher
  • Put the rest of dishes in dishwasher
  • Ground coffee for Joe
  • Showered and dressed and got ready for the day
2:17
  • Ate lunch
  • Had tea
  • Listened to a lecture
5:00
  • Took a nap
I am not proud of this.

6:37
  • Ate dinner
  • Wrote biology post
  • Wrote two biology response posts
9:23
  • Had tea
  • FINALLY finished lab report (done with biology for this week! YAY!) And yes, it took me almost three hours.
Joe will be home soon, so I'm just going to tidy the house and hopefully relax with him when he gets home. I'm getting into my "stressed" school mode, where I'm running on adrenaline even though there's no reason to. Here's all I have left for school for the whole week!

  • 2 Poetry response posts (can't do them till other students post)
  • Poetry weekly assignment

Yes! That's it! Here's the credit equivalent I'm doing for each eight week session:

This session (C): 14 credits
Next session (D): 12 credits
Summer (E): 3 credits
Summer (F): possibly 3 credits, if not it'll be in Fall
Fall (A): 3 credits
Fall (B): 3 credits

Before I took 18 credits every single semester. Ahhhhh this is so nice.

Okay now I'm just procrastinating the tidying.

But first I just have to say - I love my biology professor! I'm getting 100's on almost everything! Yeah, maybe he's just a lenient grader. But he puts so much time into this class, from hand-grading tests that should be computer-graded to make sure they are fair, to responding immediately on email and instant message, to holding weekly hour long "lectures" to go over the assignments of the week and make sure people understand them (and they're not required).

Angela and I have talked about this: we agree that if the instructor is putting time and effort into the course, it motivates the students to do the same - even if it's a subject that doesn't usually interest us, like biology (except that would interest Angela, just not me).

I think it's funny that I'm enjoying my biology class more than my poetry class - and I'm an English major. But I've never really liked poetry anyway. I'm starting to realize that's because I'm really bad at it. =) Oh well! I'll learn as much as I can! So far I'm aiming for a B in Poetry.

Can you tell I'm starved to have someone to talk to?!?!?! I'm trying to get it all out now so I don't overwhelm Joe when he gets home in five minutes or so.

How do I feel about today? Alright. I'm disappointed that I wasted about 4 hours on a nap, watching a TV episode, and playing a game. I'm proud that I was able to bounce back and get things done, even if it's not as much as I had hoped to do. So there!

  1. I love following along with your days! Except I only get to follow along until 11:45 and then I go to work for 10 hours then I come home to see everything you have done! :) I love you, I pray motivation kicks in and everything gets done easy. :)

Thanks so much for helping us move in yesterday! I will post a blog and pictures soon. Ps. I am stealing internet right now. Still dreading calling comcast. Haha.

  3. I'm enjoying reading your updates after I got a few things done today (let me stress "few") - made me feel better that I'm not the only one who feels like sitting around and doing nothing today! Keep going! :)

  4. Sounds like you got a lot done to me! I am proud of ya sister. :) And I just loved knowing when I came home I would get to read the rest of your blog. I worked until 12:15 tonight and the other nurse and I were just belly laughing about everything because we were so tired.
