We didn't get the house, and our second choice is already pending sale. But there's one we looked at awhile ago that just lowered its price, so it looks like we're going to make an offer on that. With the lower price, we could pay to have work done on it while living in the relative comfort of our own home!
Just waiting for our agent to sneak around and try to find out if there are already any other offers on it.
It's funny, I feel completely ambivalent about not getting the house. It's obvious God didn't mean for us to get it, so why would I be disappointed? It's clear he has something even better for us in mind. Plus, the longer it takes to get a house, the more money we have saved up in the bank!! It's really nice having the luxury of taking our time, so it's not stressful.
YAY ANGELA'S HERE!
EDIT 1-7
After looking at the other house, we decided not to make an offer. It wasn't nice enough that we wanted to compete with other offers. If we'd gotten it at a steal, we could have paid to fix it up, but it wasn't a steal. The location was really the only thing going for it. That, and what Joe so aptly described as "being built in the last century", which our current house was not. We told our realtor that and his jaw dropped. It was pretty funny.
