SO I'm trying to procrastinate, so I'm blogging. lame.
This week has had a few eventful things happen, though!
Lets see...Monday or Tuesday morning as I was leaving for work, I saw a note on my car. Someone scraped up the side of Jeremy's car in our parking lot - I wouldn't have noticed if there hadn't been a note though...its not really that bad. I wouldn't have even worried about it, except that we're still making payments on the car. The girl offered to pay for the damage because she didn't want to go through her insurance - ends up she was backing up her friends car, the clutch jumped and she rammed into my car by accident. She also is in the navy and is leaving in two days for 2 months! I felt so bad for her - I really didn't want to take any money from her, but I don't really know what else to do. So I went and got an estimate - I can't believe how much its going to cost, though! 1133.24! Just for a silly scrape and a little dent. I mean, I've owned cars for less than that! I told her I would look into other shops and try and get a cheaper estimate, but she insisted that she wants to get it done before she leaves town and would rather pay it than go through her insurance.
Fortunately, I'm off work until Monday and we don't need two cars, because they said it would take about 4 days to get the work done. So I think I'm meeting her down at the body shop tomorrow sometime to get it all taken care of.
I just feel so bad about it though, almost like I'm the one who hit her car!
This week Jeremy and I have started looking at houses (not to buy though :) ), because our lease is up at the end of February, and we really want something a little bigger where we can entertain and have an office/music area. We found a few really nice properties for the same price as we're paying for our apartment that hopefully we'll get to go look at this week.
Anyway,here's what I did today:
- "slept in" until 6
- Made some pancakes a latte for breakfast
- watched the movie we rented an forgot to watch last night (Dinner for Schmucks - ridiculous movie)
- Showered and got dressed
- tried to take Shea out in the snow, but it was too rain and he kept falling down. I was sad because I forgot to bring my camera
- paid some bills
- cleaned the kitchen
- went grocery shopping
- made Shea lunch
"slept in" till 6...wow, suddenly I'm glad I don't have kids yet! Looks like you've gotten a lot done today. Keep it up!
