Ah, to have energy again!

Yesterday morning was like NIGHT and DAY compared to the day before.  I woke up feeling so good, and hungry!  Shea and I had a fun day at home.  I finally got his room cleaned and toys organized out here in our sort of rec room - its been kind of a mess since the the sudden increase of items since Christmas, I haven't had time or energy to get it all settled.  Its much better now, but I definitely need a few more containers once we have some extra money.

I got our bedroom cleaned, did the dishes, vacuumed and put away all the laundry.  I baked some brownies because yesterday was Jeremy's birthday.  I had to work in the evening, but he had his men's group, so I put together a cheese/cracker platter, and he took some wine with.  I think he had a good time.

After lunch, I got out Shea's new finger paints (a gift for Christmas) and he had so much fun!  He painted four pictures.  I think this might be his first time finger painting.  He kept trying to pose for the camera and shouting "PAINT!"

And I thought I'd show you my lunch, because I was so hungry and so excited to eat something after not really eating for two days.  I had leftover lasagna soup (which thickened and was more like lasagna), and some tomatoes I sliced, sprinkled cheese and oregano on top of, and broiled in our new toaster oven.  SO YUMMY.

After work, I had to go pick up Shea from church (he was asleep).  He came home no complaints and got right in bed again.  Since Jeremy was gone, I decided to do girly things.  I waxed, took a shower, shaved, and gave myself two facials.

Aren't I just stunning?

I then started working on an baby blanket I'm crocheting for...my baby, of course.  I didn't take a pic yet though.

This morning I had my mom's prayer group where we get together and talk about our kids and pray for their specific needs.  This is only the second time we've had it, and I really enjoyed it today - although I didn't feel like going at first.  Another little boy was there, Seth, he is 3 years old.  Shea and him had a ton of fun in the nursery.  But, right at the end, we went in to get them, and they were sitting around a table in the fellowship hall...faces covered in CHOCOLATE.  Jeremy's mom likes to decorate the tables with kisses and doves, and I guess Seth was unwrapping them, and  they were both helping themselves.  I found at least 8 wrappers on the floor.  We had trouble trying not to laugh, it was just too cute.

Anyway, Jeremy is off working today, and I go to work at 5 tonight.  I love having my whole day to me and my boy!  I think I'm going to do some baking (banana bread and granola) and maybe try to tackle cleaning some of my sewing room during naptime (it is INSANELY messy, really.  I'll have to take a picture, except I am really embarrassed about how bad it is).

And I agree with Angela - LOVE reading all the posts!

 update 2:37PM -

So during nap-time, I got a load of laundry done, made some granola, two banana-coconut breads, and two lemon yogurt breads.  We ended up eating half of one of the smaller banana loafs and I froze the rest.  Its nice to have them on-hand for play-groups and last minute company.

After getting the kitchen mostly cleaned, and while things baked, I thought about starting to work on my sewing room.  Then I opened the door.  Then I took a few pictures, closed my eyes, shut the door, and ran away.  I'm posting them so that I'll be motivated to do something about this insanity!  Please do not judge.

And, in my defense, this is the catchall from Christmas.  My desk is very untidy from working on several different projects at once(which I really hate to do when its messy, but somehow I managed in the hurry I was in, I guess).

The bed has boxes of fabric on it I still haven't organized, and only made worse by rummaging through them.  And there's leftover wrapping paper and boxes that need to be put away from Christmas...

And my craft table is just piled.  Not to mention there are some HUGE boxes in there that Jeremy brought home that we intended on making a cardboard kitchen out of for Shea, but never got to.  Just sitting there.  Being ugly.  And in the way.

So, now my goal is to get that completely organized by the end of this week.  At least completely cleaned and have a plan of TRUE organization by then.  Because I have more projects to start, but I seriously will not even go in this room until I'm ready to clean it.

Anyway.

After nap, Shea and I built a zoo (well, I built it, over and over and over again, because he kept breaking it by accident and then begged me to fix it.  How do you even break this?)

Hope you find some time to play today! :)
