stomach flu

so, I was starting to feel SO good being in my second trimester - all of the icky nausea was starting to taper off, and yesterday I made the most amazing Lasagna soup in my new dutch oven.  But, as soon as I ate it, I started feeling really, really sick.  I thought it was because I was so hungry and maybe I ate too fast, so I went and laid down.  Nope.  In about an hour I was throwing up my dinner.  Than two hours later I was up again.  And then another hour or so later, again.  Up all night throwing up until my stomach was empty and aching from not having anything in it TO throw up.  I caught the stomach bug that has been passed from Ellis family member to Ellis family member since Christmas.  Jeremy had it last week, but his only lasted one night and then the next day he was pretty much back to normal.  I don't know if I just get sick harder than others, or if its because I'm pregnant, or if its because I worked out like a mad-woman the day before and so I'm really sore on top of it all, but I pretty much laid in bed from 7am to 4pm today, and still find it difficult to walk without a hunch.

LAME.  The good part?  I got to sit in bed with my son watching Winnie the Pooh and Mulan.  He got to see a lot of videos today because I had no energy to watch him while Jer was gone at work.  He even fell asleep in my bed during Mulan (apparently, its not that interesting of a movie to a 2 year old), so I left him in there and laid on the couch.

I would tell you more about my exhausting Christmas, the interview I had, and other things going on, but right now, I think I need to go to bed...again.

Angela - I enjoyed both of your posts and all of your pictures!  I'm glad you're keeping things interesting on here.

And Amber, I totally agree that I need to jump on that freeze-ahead bandwagon so I have healthier things to take to work with me.  Eating right does make such a difference!  I even feel the difference when I take my vitamins from a day when I skip.  Hope you are able to start boosting your energy more, its hard to get much of anything done without it!
