Sewing room, juicer, and random catch up pics.

so I was planning on not worrying about my sewing room until next week, but yesterday Jeremy ended up leaving to do some work at the church, and I had nap-time to myself, so I decided to go for it.  I made myself a latte, turned on Pandora, and got to work.  Angela was right - it wasn't as bad as I initially thought, and I had it cleaned up in about an hour.

AH.  So refreshing to have my cutting/work table CLEAR.  It just makes me want to start making things!

Before my table had a lot of odds and ends on it, like these boxes and jars.  I realized this bookshelf our landlord left in the storage room guest bathroom wasn't being used for anything more but a few random items.  So I moved it in and it fits perfectly.  Definitely needs to be painted and maybe have some cute paper put on it, but it's functional and I don't want to commit to any colors until I know what I'm doing with this room!

And someday, this wood paneling will be painted over.  gross.  I still need to go through all my fabric up on the shelf and get it organized so I can see it too, but that will be a project for next week, I think.

And here is my lovely model showing the usefulness of having a clean bed.

Jeremy is at sunday school this morning, and Shea and I are chilling at home until service at 10:30.  While Jeremy was giving Shea a bath, I made breakfast.  We had pancakes, eggs, fresh cut cantaloupe, and my husband made us some delish lattes.  I also had my glass of lemon water.  More on that later.

Thought I'd share a couple of other random things.  Like the new picture frame my husband got me for Christmas (brown one with the flowers on it).  Its all glass, and I love it.  It still has a ross tag on it though (hate that they put it right on the glass!) so, it's covered by the other frame right now since I'm too lazy to scrape it off.

This is my new juicer I won in our family white elephant exchange.  I love it.  I juice a lemon every morning, fill  the glass halfway with ice, and add water.  I've been reading the benefits of drinking lemon water, and it forces me to drink a good helping of water in the morning, which is usually hard for me to do.

This is our awesome new toaster/convection oven!  I make lunches in this all the time.  LOVE IT.

And this is just some post-Christmas decorating I did.  We had this shutter lying around (from the landlord), and so I decided to make it into a picture display (because I am really having a shortage of picture frames lately).  One picture is falling over.  Oh well.  I need to work on it some more.  I also set up a little reading basket for Shea by the fireplace.  He now has 3 spots in the house where he can sit and read.  I like it, because I think he discovers more of his books this way.  Yesterday he sat in his room and looked at books for almost 30 minutes!

Have a wonderful Sunday!  The Lord is GOOD.

  1. Amen to that, the Lord is good. I love your pictures! Soon I will post mine of our place, its almost together but not quite. I LOVE lemons and drink them in my water all the time. I knew they were healthy, but I didn't know how good they actually were. I'm also very jealous of your craft and sewing area! I do have room in our apartment for a sewing area though, I just need the furniture for it!

  2. Your craft room looks awesome! And I love your juicer. I have a hand lemon squeezer and some lemons on hand...I should try some lemon water. And I totally agree about those ross stickers they are AWFUL. My very least favorite thing to take off. Especially on picture frames and stuff, I think they use the extra sticky ones for them. I use Goo-be-gone though and it seems to do the trick pretty well.
