Tomorrow morning, Joe's parents are picking us up at 6:45 and taking us the airport. We are going to Kauai until Friday! I am excited beyond words.
This storm wasn't too bad for us, because we barely even lost power. But knowing that I will be in the sun tomorrow somehow makes me hate the slush more. 20% chance of precipitation each day we're in Kauai, and highs of 80s. And of course, when it rains in Kauai it's a tropical rain, not an all-day drizzle.
I'm slowly packing, slowly cleaning. Took extra stuff out of the fridge, froze leftovers. The only thing left is half a gallon of whole milk - which Angela can have if she wants. Heck, she can have anything in our fridge she wants. She's watching our cats while we're gone.
I used my allowance to buy a portable DVD player for the flight. I also have the Nook I got for Christmas. I've got a pack of DVDs to choose from, and I checked out e-editions of twelve books from the library and downloaded them on my nook. We have cribbage, we have snacks. We are totally good to go for the flight. Everything is charged!
