Father's Day was a good one. We gave Jeremy his present in the morning (a book he has been wanting, a photo card I got for free online, and some chocolate covered almonds), then we went to Voyage in Bremerton for church. Afterward, we stopped at Jack in the Box for some tacos and chicken nuggets, ran into WinCo to get a few more items for dinner, and then headed home. After Shea's nap, the family came over (except my mom, because she was sick). And Shea was the center of attention and loving every minute of it. We all took a walk to the Indianola dock and country store, then came back and had hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner. It was yummy, and my house is surprisingly clean this morning. I even managed to take pictures and videos - which almost never happens at family gatherings.

My Father's day cake! I used this recipe, but used strawberry/banana jello instead of raspberry and put cool whip on top. It was a very pink cake. And I love anything with graham cracker crust. |

After everyone left, we got Shea in his pajamas and went over to Jeremy's parents house. We put him down and watched Thor with them, and then an episode of Psyche. It was a good ending to the day. I was kind of uncomfortable the whole movie - I had contractions ALL day yesterday, and they are more uncomfortable today, but they are still just off and on, so I'm trying really hard to ignore them! This has to be the hardest part about labor - you want to just get on with it already, but its really not up to me, no matter how many walks I take!

And this morning at 6:30!!! This kid fell out of bed at like 4, freaked out, and slept in our room...but was hungry for oatmeal at 6:30. Yikes I'm tiiired. |
I love all your fathers day pictures! I was excited when you pinned that recipe cause I read that blog on a daily basis (well when she posts), and it looked like a super yummy cake! Now I want to try it!
