Iheart fridays!

I love Fridays.  Jeremy has to be to a meeting at 6AM, which means we both get up early to get ready for the day (Shea always wakes up when our bedroom door opens - its very loud - and doesn't always go back to sleep).  So I was up and ready by 6AM, and Shea woke up happy and cheerful just as Jer was leaving.  I made us some blueberry pancakes and had a latte.  Shea devoured it.  I love watching him eat.  He has become SUCH a good eater and eats almost anything I give him now.

Last night I made twice baked potatoes, roasted asparagus, and a tossed fruit "medley" (fresh blueberries, strawberries, fuji apples, and a little bit of banana).  He ate all of it!  Especially the asparagus.  That makes me happy, and makes me feel like a good mom for once.  He has been eating WAY too many hotdogs lately.  I'm hoping when we move and have a bigger kitchen I'll cook more dinners.  Plus we'll have an actual table (what a luxury, ha)  so we can sit down and eat together as a family.  Hard to get motivated to cook meals when you have to stand at the kitchen counter to eat them.

Anyway!  I am happy for a nice long morning and happy that it is my last day of work for a whole week!  AND so excited to be getting our keys and start moving on Monday!  I should take a picture of our dining room right now.  It is piled high with boxes.

I'm hoping and praying, praying that today little Zachary does better in class than he did on Wednesday.  And I'm sure both Audree and I will be ready for our break next week!

Have an awesome weekend!

  1. I love Fridays too, I think they're the best day of the week because you have the whole weekend ahead of you, and you get a break from the 5 day work week. I love hearing about your nice mornings and making delicious meals, and good for Shea for eating asparagus! If only I could get Justin to like it...

  2. I love fridays too! Especially when I have them off! :) You dinner sounds super yummy, and I am so happy Shea isn't a picky eater. I can only hope the same for my own children!
