Today I'm joining Amber in the physical pain department. This morning, as I was getting ready to leave, my mom pulled up. I ran out the back door to tell her to move her car up so I could get my car out...unfortunately, I didn't notice that there was a thick slush on our back deck and I slipped, twisted my body and landed on my left knee and left shoulder. I didn't have time to really think about it or even change my now soaking wet and muddy pants and just left for work. By the time I got home my knee was swollen (but doesn't hurt anymore), and now I can't move my left shoulder or lift my arm. Even bending my elbow hurts to some extent. I had to go back to a staff meeting tonight and it was painful to drive or even write with a pen! Jeremy had to help me give Shea a bath and put on his pajamas. I have no idea how I'll get through the day at preschool tomorrow. yikes. Hopefully its only sore for a few days, but I have a feeling I'm going to be very stiff tomorrow.
Anyway, thats all I really had to say. It probably didn't help that when I was home in-between work I decided to do a bunch of chores before I really noticed how much I was hurting my arm. We're now watching some bizarre french film that my husband brought home from the library while I ice my shoulder.
ha...what a ridiculous thing for me to do. My husband told me that maybe I shouldn't run out the back door so quickly without even looking. Yeah, thanks for the advice.
aww! Is it any better now? How annoying! =(
ReplyDeleteI hate when things like that happen! I hope you are feeling better. Sometimes I sleep on my shoulder wrong, and for the next few days I have trouble dressing myself because of it. Good thing your husband is around to help!
ReplyDeleteI hope it is feeling better now! And I liked Jeremy's response, sounds like the very thing my hubby would say too. Haha.
