Busy Sunday!

I got up, went to church (without showering because the hubby took all the hot water again), came home, took a bath (which there was hardly hot water for...), and then went Christmas Shopping! I know, I know, seems like it is a little early, but at church today they were handing out pamphlets on Operation Christmas Child. I don't know if all of you girls have heard of it before but basically you pack a shoebox full of gifts and it gets sent to another country as a christmas gift for a child. After getting the pamphlet I decided I wanted to go shopping today. It was so fun! I went to Target and got a bunch of little things to fill the box like toothpaste, toothbrush, jump rope, cute bobby pins, pens, soap, gum, candy and so forth. Then I decided I wanted to do shopping for the family. So I got my mom, dad, amber, and mother-in-law's christmas presents today. Oh how I love gift giving! I even wrapped some of them today, haha.

Now I am getting ready to cook dinner and pick up the house a tiny bit before the hubby gets home. I am hoping we are going to be able to make it to night church, and if so, that is the plan for tonight. If we don't make it we will eat pizza, listen to a sermon online, and cuddle!

Here is the most amazing pizza dough recipe because it takes no time at all. I have only ever made regular pizza with it but I am going to try the BBQ one because oddly enough Paul and I picked up that very meat at Safeway last night because it was on sale for 2.69 (normal price is over 6!). Oh the things I get excited about these days.

Here is the recipe: http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/06/15-minute-pizza-dough-and-gourmet-pizza.html

Hope everybody is having a fabulous Sunday!

  1. I have an operation Christmas child box too! I haven't shopped for it yet...I can't wait! And I started my Christmas shopping in September...I just hate shopping last minute. I have all my side down, and 6 to go out of 11 on Justin's side. The finger puppets are so cute...did you draw them? I have been looking for a pizza dough recipe, I'll have to try yours out!

  2. I did not take all of the hot water. I was surprised when it went cold. I had to get up and go raise 8 billion dollars for breast cancer research. so there.

  3. Well, yes that was my husband that just commented. I guess that's what happens when you leave your computer open while you go get ready for bed!

I love that you Christmas shop early too! I hate being rushed as well, but for some reason no matter how early I start I am always scrambling to get one last gift.

I didn't draw the finger puppets, I have never drawn that many at once, but those people's were so cute I had to save the picture! :) I am totally going to do it when I babysit older kids or when I have my own though! Best entertainment ever. :)

  4. I love your choice of pictures, Angela. Does that one finger have an AX? nuts. haha.

Oh you're making me want to go Christmas shopping...I love gift giving as well, but I'm going to try and make a lot of gifts this year and be a little bit more creative. And I don't mean like crocheted pot holders and random stuff like that...something more thoughtful...and wanted.

But now I want to go buy presents. ha.

  5. I love making gifts for people! The only problem is I always spend absolutely forever trying to think of something the person will like well enough. I know my college friends and my mom, but after that I don't know what to make for people! I love everything you make. Your are an awesome sewer (or seamstress if thats the real word :))

Haha, yeah that one finger does have an ax. If I do that craft with children I suppose I should eliminate the weapons! Don't want the parents to think I am insane! Haha.
