I had a nice morning, and work went really well! I was kind of worried, because the director of the preschool is observing all the classes this week, and she sat in both of mine today. I don't know why, but I thought for sure she was going to tell me a list of things I could be doing better, but she only told me good things about my work performance. Phew! I was so relieved. I feel much more confidant now! Then I had to rush home so we could get to our Church Staff meeting. And after dinner I got the following things done:
- Washed the dishes (this was a BIG job today, so glad we got it done!)
- Vacuumed the front room, hallway, and dining room (I was getting tired of Shea randomly ending up with a new piece of food off the ground in his hand)
- Put Shea to bed on time
- Went grocery shopping
- Got the mail (I'm doing pretty good this week, two days in a row)
On my way home form the grocery store, before I got the mail, for some reason I was thinking about our car and recalls and how we have never gotten one or something weird like that...and when I opened up our mail, I received a recall for my cars engine! freak-ay! I'm kind of glad though, because the car has started showing signs of what they said needed fixing, and at least we don't have to pay for it. I mean, I guess it would be better if nothing had to be fixed, but still, it's sort of a blessing in a weird sort of way.
Anyway, last night I only worked out for 10 minutes, I didn't do the dishes (hence all the dishes today), and I didn't read my book! I only took a shower and made myself tea. So I need to ACTUALLY go do the following:
- work out
- practice some songs on guitar (I have to take it to work tomorrow for some songs for my 4's class)
- memorize the pledge to the Christian flag (I've heard it 3 times a week for a month, and still don't have it memorized...and I was asked to fill in once and couldn't do it with the kids! That was embarrassing...)
Take care girls! Hope you all have a great night!
I know you posted this yesterday, but I'm so glad you had a good day! And that's so weird about your car, but a godsend! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had an awesome day. Sounds like you are doing amazing teaching preschool, and that's awesome. I love that you don't have to pay to get your car fixed, engines are expensive business, trust me, we just replaced one in my husbands car.
ReplyDeleteI had the Christian flag pledge memorized for the 6 years I was in private school and somehow the year after I entered public school I couldn't remember it at all. It's hard! Haha.
And dishes, oh man I have so many dishes because just like you did, I have put them off for days. Good work getting them done, it's the best feeling!
Good for you for doing your dishes! I have a sink full at the moment...but learning past tenses in Spanish is taking priority right now. That is cool about your car, what a blessing you don't have to pay for it!
