Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to everyone!   It was on Monday, and I had a great turkey dinner.
My mother in law taught me how to make stuffing just the way my husband likes it.
Its something I've been meaning to learn for about 3 years now...finally accomplished that task.  I figure it won't be too long in the future before I have to cook my own turkey.  Might as well get a head start now.

Although I didn't have class today, somehow I didn't accomplish very much.  However, I did make some Spritz cookies!  They are for a soup supper that the campus ministry I'm helping out with hosts every Wednesday night.   As I'm trying to work on my school work this evening and not getting very far, I keep peeking in the tupperware to check out these awesome cookies.  They make me feel like I've done something, and they're so festive, it makes me happy.  I have never spritzed before, and I can't believe that my arms actually got sore for pressing the dough on the cookie sheet!  I hope people will like them tomorrow.  I even made pumpkin shaped cookies to tie in with the holiday.

  1. Those look so good, Candice! That makes me want to have a cozy fall party right now! One time I ruined an entire batch of Spritz cookies because I put like 3x the butter for the recipe somehow, but I didn't realize it until after it was too late.

OH and I totally know what you mean with the work out you get using a Spritz gun...:)

  2. Those cookies look absolutely amazing! Funny story about spritz cookies, I have always loved making them with my Aunt, so my mom asked for a spritz cookie maker for christmas. My cousin drew her name, he was living in Japan, and when he came home for Christmas they tried to confiscate the cookie maker because they thought it was a gun!
